Zendesk
Look up the Zendesk connector: its actions and events in alphabetical order, and the sign-in methods of a Zendesk connection.
The Zendesk connector lets a workflow create and manage tickets, users, and groups in Zendesk. In the Add node panel, it's in the Connector category, under Zendesk. How connector nodes work describes how a connector node is set up.
This page lists what the connector can do in Maestro Automate. Select an action or event to see how to configure it.
Actions
Each action is a node that does one thing in Zendesk.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Add Comment | Add a comment to a ticket in Zendesk. |

| Get Record | Retrieve a record in Zendesk. |
| Insert Record | Insert a new record in Zendesk. |
| List All Ticket Comments | Retrieve all comments for a specific ticket in Zendesk. |

| Update User | Update user information in Zendesk. |
| Upload Attachment | Upload and attach a file to a Zendesk ticket comment. |
Events
Each event can start a workflow, as a Connector trigger, or pause a run until it happens, as a Connector event. In the connector's list, events have the WAIT tag.
| Event | What it does |
|---|---|
| Group Created | Triggers automation when a new group is created in Zendesk. |
| Organization Created | Triggers for when a new organization is created in Zendesk. |
| Record Created | Triggers when you add a new record. |
| Record Updated | Triggers when an existing record was updated. |
| Ticket Created | Triggers actions when a new ticket is created in Zendesk. |
| Ticket Updated | Triggers when an existing ticket is updated in Zendesk. |
| User Created | Triggers when a new customer or staff member is created in Zendesk. |
| User Suspended | Triggers when a user is suspended in Zendesk. |
Connection
A Zendesk node signs in through a connection. Create a connection describes how to create one from the node. On the Connect to page, choose one of these sign-in methods:
| Sign-in method | What you need |
|---|---|
| OAuth 2.0 Authorization code | Your Zendesk domain and the scopes to grant. |
| Bring your own OAuth 2.0 app | The client ID and client secret of an app that you create in Zendesk, your Zendesk domain, and the scopes. |
The connection needs the read and write permissions.
Zendesk authentication in the Integration Service guide describes the full connection setup, including prerequisites and advanced settings.
