Okta
Look up the Okta connector: its actions in alphabetical order, and the sign-in methods of an Okta connection.
The Okta connector lets a workflow create, activate, and deprovision users, and manage group membership. In the Add node panel, it's in the Connector category, under Okta. How connector nodes work describes how a connector node is set up.
This page lists what the connector can do in Maestro Automate. Select an action to see how to configure it.
Actions
Each action is a node that does one thing in Okta.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Activate User | Activate a user account in Okta. |
| Add User to Group | Add a user to a group in Okta. |
| Create User | Create a new user in Okta and send an activation link. |
| Deprovision User | Deprovision a user account in Okta. |
| Get User Groups by Name | Retrieve user groups in Okta by their name. |
| Get User ID by Username | Retrieve a user ID in Okta using the username. |
Connection
An Okta node signs in through a connection. Create a connection describes how to create one from the node. On the Connect to page, you sign in with this method:
| Sign-in method | What you need |
|---|---|
| OAuth 2.0 | Okta domain; Client ID; Client secret; Scope. |
Okta authentication in the Integration Service guide describes the full connection setup, including prerequisites and advanced settings.
