WhatsApp Business
Look up the WhatsApp Business connector: its actions in alphabetical order, and the sign-in methods of a WhatsApp Business connection.
The WhatsApp Business connector lets a workflow send and reply to messages, including template messages, and manage the business profile. In the Add node panel, it's in the Connector category, under WhatsApp Business. How connector nodes work describes how a connector node is set up.
This page lists what the connector can do in Maestro Automate. Select an action to see how to configure it.
Actions
Each action is a node that does one thing in WhatsApp Business.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Get Business Profile | Retrieve an existing business profile from WhatsApp Business. |
| Get Record | Retrieves a record in WhatsApp Business. |
| Insert Record | Insert a new record in WhatsApp Business. |
| List All Records | List all records in WhatsApp Business. |
| Reply to Message | Send replies to messages or button clicks in WhatsApp Business. |
| Send Message | Send text or button messages to a phone number using a configured WhatsApp Business account. |
| Send Template Message | Send a message using an existing template with default configuration in WhatsApp Business. |

Connection
A WhatsApp Business node signs in through a connection. Create a connection describes how to create one from the node. On the Connect to page, you sign in with this method:
| Sign-in method | What you need |
|---|---|
| OAuth 2.0 | OAuth 2.0 Authorization code; PAT (Personal Access Token); Client ID; Client secret; Account ID; Personal access token; Account ID; If you add a new account (account ID) you have to select Opt-in for the account to be available automatically in all activities. This has to be done at the time of setting connection using OAuth2 (On login page select Edit previous settings.and then choose opt in for all future accounts as well, as this is not selected by default); To retrieve your Account ID, go to Meta for Developers and navigate to your App → Select the WhatsApp accounts on left menu → Choose the account to select. You will see the Id in the URL; Personal/data access token limit is 3 months (In case of both types of authentications). Every 3 months the instance must be re-created; For Business communication to work, you must accept WhatsApp terms of business communication in their respective accounts. |
WhatsApp Business authentication in the Integration Service guide describes the full connection setup, including prerequisites and advanced settings.
