Quip
Look up the Quip connector: its actions in alphabetical order, and the sign-in methods of a Quip connection.
The Quip connector lets a workflow create documents, send messages to threads, and manage chat rooms. In the Add node panel, it's in the Connector category, under Quip. How connector nodes work describes how a connector node is set up.
This page lists what the connector can do in Maestro Automate. Select an action to see how to configure it.
Actions
Each action is a node that does one thing in Quip.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create Chat Room | Create a chat room as a thread in Quip. |
| Create Document in Private Folder | Create a document as a thread in a private folder in Quip. |
| Find User by Email | Retrieve user details using an email address in Quip. |
| Get Recent Messages by Thread | Retrieve all recent messages from a thread in Quip. |
| Invite People to Chat Room | Add people to a chat room in Quip. |
| Search Threads | Retrieve threads in Quip by entering a search string. |
| Send Message to Thread | Send a message to a specific thread in Quip. |
| Upload Attachment to Thread | Upload a file to a Quip thread for use in subsequent messages within the same thread. |
Connection
A Quip node signs in through a connection. Create a connection describes how to create one from the node. On the Connect to page, you sign in with this method:
| Sign-in method | What you need |
|---|---|
| Access Token | API access token. |
Quip authentication in the Integration Service guide describes the full connection setup, including prerequisites and advanced settings.
