DocuSign
Look up the DocuSign connector: its actions and events in alphabetical order, and the sign-in methods of a DocuSign connection.
The DocuSign connector lets a workflow create and send envelopes for e-signature, and download their documents. In the Add node panel, it's in the Connector category, under DocuSign. How connector nodes work describes how a connector node is set up.
This page lists what the connector can do in Maestro Automate. Select an action or event to see how to configure it.
Actions
Each action is a node that does one thing in DocuSign.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Add Document to Envelope | Add a document to an existing envelope in DocuSign. |
| Add Recipient to Envelope | Add a recipient to an existing envelope in DocuSign. |
| Create Envelope | Create and send a document envelope using DocuSign. |
| Create Envelope using Template | Create and manage envelopes using templates in DocuSign, either saving as draft or sending to recipients. |
| Create from Existing Envelope | Create a draft copy of an existing envelope in DocuSign. |
| Delete Record | Delete a record in DocuSign. |
| Download Documents of Envelope | Download all documents from a DocuSign envelope. |
| Get Envelope | Retrieve the status of an envelope in DocuSign. |
| Get Form Data | Retrieve envelope and tab data from in-process, completed, or canceled envelopes in DocuSign. |
| Get Record | Retrieve a record in DocuSign. |
| Get Template | Retrieve the definition of a template in DocuSign. |
| Insert Record | Insert a new record in DocuSign. |
| List All Envelope Recipients | Retrieve a list of recipients for a specific envelope in DocuSign. |
| List All Records | List all records in DocuSign. |
| List documents in envelope | List all documents in an envelope. |
| Replace Record | Replace a record in DocuSign. |
| Send Envelope | Send a draft envelope using DocuSign. |
Events
Each event can start a workflow, as a Connector trigger, or pause a run until it happens, as a Connector event. In the connector's list, events have the WAIT tag.
| Event | What it does |
|---|---|
| Envelope Created | Triggers actions when a new envelope is created in DocuSign. |
| Envelope Sent to All Recipients | Triggers when an envelope is sent to all recipients in DocuSign. |
| Envelope Signed by All Recipients | Triggers when an envelope is signed by all recipients in DocuSign. |
| Envelope Status Updated | Triggers when an envelope's status is updated in DocuSign. |
Connection
A DocuSign node signs in through a connection. Create a connection describes how to create one from the node. On the Connect to page, choose one of these sign-in methods:
| Sign-in method | What you need |
|---|---|
| OAuth 2.0 Authorization code | Your DocuSign account ID, and the email address and password of your account. |
| Bring your own OAuth 2.0 app | The client ID and client secret of an app that you create in DocuSign, your account ID, and the environment. |
Only DocuSign production accounts work. Demo and developer accounts don't.
DocuSign authentication in the Integration Service guide describes the full connection setup, including prerequisites and advanced settings.
