Microsoft Azure OpenAI
Look up the Microsoft Azure OpenAI connector: its actions in alphabetical order, and the sign-in methods of a Microsoft Azure OpenAI connection.
The Microsoft Azure OpenAI connector lets a workflow generate chat completions and embeddings with OpenAI models hosted in Azure. In the Add node panel, it's in the Connector category, under Microsoft Azure OpenAI. How connector nodes work describes how a connector node is set up.
This page lists what the connector can do in Maestro Automate. Select an action to see how to configure it.
Actions
Each action is a node that does one thing in Microsoft Azure OpenAI.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create Embeddings | Generate vector representations of input for use with machine learning models and vector databases in Azure. |
| Generate Chat Completion | Generate a chat completion response using Azure OpenAI based on user prompts and optional inputs. |
Connection
A Microsoft Azure OpenAI node signs in through a connection. Create a connection describes how to create one from the node. On the Connect to page, choose one of these sign-in methods:
| Sign-in method | What you need |
|---|---|
| OAuth 2.0 Client credentials | * Url - The base URL of your Azure OpenAI endpoint, including https://. * Tenant ID - The Azure Active Directory (AAD) tenant ID associated with your Microsoft Azure OpenAI account. Tenant ID for single-tenant apps is found in the Overview section. Use common for personal, enterprise, or multi-tenant accounts. * Client ID - The client ID of the registered application in AAD. You can find it in the Overview section of your Microsoft Azure application registration. * Client Secret - The client secret of the registered application in AAD. You can create a new client secret in the Certificates & secrets section of your Microsoft Azure application registration. * API version - This represents the REST API version used to interact with the Azure OpenAI service. You can input any API version you want to connect to. |
| API key | * API Key - The API key associated with your Microsoft Azure OpenAI account. * Url - The base URL of your Azure OpenAI endpoint, including https://. * API version - This represents the REST API version used to interact with the Azure OpenAI service. You can input any API version you want to connect to. |
Microsoft Azure OpenAI authentication in the Integration Service guide describes the full connection setup, including prerequisites and advanced settings.
