UiPath GenAI Activities
Look up the UiPath GenAI Activities connector: its actions and events in alphabetical order, and why its connection needs no sign-in parameters.
The UiPath GenAI Activities connector lets a workflow summarize, translate, categorize, and filter personal data from text, and run other generative AI tasks, with AI models that UiPath manages. In the Add node panel, it's in the Connector category, under UiPath GenAI Activities. How connector nodes work describes how a connector node is set up.
This page lists what the connector can do in Maestro Automate. Select an action or event to see how to configure it.
Actions
Each action is a node that runs one generative AI task.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Categorize | Categorize content based on provided categories. |
| Content Generation | Generate a chat response for the provided request using chat completion models. |
| Context Grounding Search | Given a natural language input or query, retrieve similar context from Context Grounding indices or from files. |
| Detect Language | Detect the language of a given text. |
| Detect Object | Detect a custom defined object or objects in an image. |
| Generate Email | Compose a draft email meeting a specific style. |
| Get DeepRAG Analysis by ID | Retrieve a DeepRAG-generated Context Grounding analysis from an agent. |
| Image Analysis | Generate a completion that includes an image file or a publicly accessible image URL. |
| Image Classification | Classify an image using custom categories and descriptions. |
| Image Comparison | Compare two images according to predefined or custom categories. |
| Named Entity Recognition | For a given text string, identify and classify named entities. |
| PII Filtering | Scan the input text, identify any personally identifiable information (PII) or protected health information (PHI), and replace it with a redaction marker. |
| Reformat | Detect and change the format of a string of text. |
| Rewrite | Submit text to be rewritten according to new style guidelines. |
| Semantic Similarity | Compare a string to another string or list of strings using generative AI. |
| Sentiment Analysis | Score text as positive, negative, or neutral. |
| Signature Similarity | Analyze and compare two signature images for similarity. |
| Summarize Text | Summarize text using a suitable large language model (LLM). |
| Translate | Take input text and a target language, and output the translated text. |
| Update Context Grounding Index | Sync the latest data for existing indices in Context Grounding. |
| Web Reader | Given a publicly accessible URL, extract its text. |
| Web Search | Execute a search of the public domain using a natural language query. |
| Web Summary | Provide an AI-generated summary of search results, with citations. |
Events
| Event | What it does |
|---|---|
| Index Completed | Triggers when a Context Grounding index finishes syncing. |
Index Completed can start a workflow, as a Connector trigger, or pause a run until the index finishes syncing, as a Connector event. In the connector's list, this event has the WAIT tag.
Connection
A UiPath GenAI Activities node still signs in through a connection, but the connection takes no sign-in parameters: the connector calls UiPath-managed AI services that are already available to every user in your tenant, with no subscription to a third-party service. Create a connection describes how to create a connection from the node; on the Connect to page, you create the connection directly, without entering any credentials.
A platform administrator can block this connector for your tenant with an AI Trust Layer policy. If the connector doesn't appear, or a connection can't be created, check with your platform administrator.
