Google Docs
Look up the Google Docs connector: its actions and events in alphabetical order, and the sign-in methods of a Google Docs connection.
The Google Docs connector lets a workflow create, get, update, and delete Google Docs records. In the Add node panel, it's in the Connector category, under Google Docs. How connector nodes work describes how a connector node is set up.
This page lists what the connector can do in Maestro Automate. Select an event to see its details in the Integration Service guide.
Actions
Each action is a node that does one thing in Google Docs.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Delete Record | Deletes a record in Google Docs. |
| Get Record | Retrieves a record in Google Docs. |
| Insert Record | Insert a new record in Google Docs. |
| List Records | List records in Google Docs. |
| Update Record | Updates a record in Google Docs. |
Events
Each event can start a workflow, as a Connector trigger, or pause a run until it happens, as a Connector event. In the connector's list, events have the WAIT tag.
| Event | What it does |
|---|---|
| Existing Record Deleted | Triggers when an existing record is deleted. |
| Existing Record Updated | Triggers when an existing record was updated. |
| New Record Created | Triggers when you add a new record. |
| When a Document Is Moved to Trash | Triggers when an existing document is moved to trash from the drive. |
| When a Document Is Updated | Triggers when an existing document is updated in the drive. |
| When a New Document Is Created | Triggers when a new document is created in the drive. |
Connection
A Google Docs node signs in through a connection. Create a connection describes how to create one from the node. On the Connect to page, choose one of these sign-in methods:
| Sign-in method | What you need |
|---|---|
| OAuth 2.0 Authorization code | Your Google email address and the password associated with your Google account. |
| Bring your own OAuth 2.0 app | Your application's Client ID and Client secret, and Scopes. |
| Service account | Service account key, Account email. |
Google Docs authentication in the Integration Service guide describes the full connection setup, including prerequisites and advanced settings.
