Asana
Look up the Asana connector: its actions and events in alphabetical order, and the sign-in methods of an Asana connection.
The Asana connector lets a workflow manage tasks, projects, and deadlines. In the Add node panel, it's in the Connector category, under Asana. How connector nodes work describes how a connector node is set up.
This page lists what the connector can do in Maestro Automate. Select an action or event to see how to configure it.
Actions
Each action is a node that does one thing in Asana.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create Project | Create a new project in Asana. |
| Create Task | Create a new task in Asana. |
| Delete Record | Deletes a record in Asana. |
| Get Project | Retrieve a project from Asana. |
| Get Record | Retrieves a record in Asana. |
| Get Task | Retrieve a task from Asana. |
| Insert Record | Insert a new record in Asana. |
| List All Records | List all records in Asana. |
| Replace Record | Replace a record in Asana. |
| Search Tasks | Search for tasks in Asana using specified search parameters (premium only). |
| Update Project | Update an existing project in Asana. |
| Update Task | Update a task in Asana. |
Events
Each event can start a workflow, as a Connector trigger, or pause a run until it happens, as a Connector event. In the connector's list, events have the WAIT tag.
| Event | What it does |
|---|---|
| Project Status Updated | Trigger when a project's status is updated in Asana. |
| Record Updated | Triggers when a record is updated. |
| Task completed | Trigger automation when an Asana task is completed. |
Connection
An Asana node signs in through a connection. Create a connection describes how to create one from the node. On the Connect to page, choose one of these sign-in methods:
| Sign-in method | What you need |
|---|---|
| OAuth 2.0 Authorization code with PKCE | Asana account credentials (email and password). |
| Bring your own OAuth 2.0 app | Client ID, Client secret. |
Asana authentication in the Integration Service guide describes the full connection setup, including prerequisites and advanced settings.
