Installation
Install Cartographer through the shared Studio, Assistant, and Robot installer, and set up your UiPath account to get started.
Cartographer installs through the same package that installs UiPath Assistant and the UiPath Robot, and it appears as a component you select during that install.
You can currently install Cartographer on Windows only.
Prerequisites
- A UiPath account in your organization's tenant.
- A machine that meets the hardware and software requirements.
- Internet connection
Downloading the installer
The installer can be downloaded directly, from UiPath Customer Portal, the Resource Center in UiPath Automation Cloud, or provided by your Customer Success Manager.

There is a delay between Community and STS releases — features available in Community reach STS only after this delay. Community can also be expected to receive more frequent updates. The LTS release includes every feature released to STS up to that version, on a slower, more stable update cadence.
Installing Cartographer

Run the installer.

Select Assistant, Delegate & Cartographer from the list of components. Robot and Extensions are selected automatically along with it.

Accept the terms in the License Agreement.

Optionally, use Advanced configuration to customize the install.

Select Install, and wait for the installation to complete.
Connecting your organization
To connect to your organization, go to Assistant > Preferences > Orchestrator connection:
- Sign in to your organization with your UiPath account.
- Select your tenant. If you have access to multiple tenants, choose the one you want to use.
- Check your connection status. Once you are connected and licensed, Cartographer appears as an option in the title bar switcher, ready to use.
- Switch profiles. Switch to the Cartographer tab in the title bar.
To switch between organizations or tenants, use the Assistant user profile.
