Required datasets for Markdown & Promotions in the UiPath Merchandising solution, including product, stock, sales, and pricing data.
This page lists the data Markdown & Promotions (part of the Merchandising solution) needs and what each dataset is used for. To connect your systems and load this data into the platform, see Data ingestion.
The solution works from data you already have — products and assortments, sales and demand history, pricing and promotion history, inventory availability, and location or channel context. During onboarding these are mapped and ingested from your existing systems; you don't create or edit them in the solution.
The solution then uses them to evaluate product performance and identify merchandising opportunities for you to review and act on. The quality and consistency of your data directly affect the relevance of the insights.
How the solution uses your data
- Products and assortment data define the items and categories included in the analysis.
- Sales and demand history provide the historical context for demand patterns and product performance.
- Pricing and promotion history captures past pricing decisions and promotional activity that influence demand.
- Inventory availability adds operational feasibility context for merchandising actions.
- Location and channel context enables analysis across stores, regions, and channels.
