Clinical review reference

Reference for the Clinical Review section in Medical Record Summarization, covering available fields, summary statuses, filters, and reviewer controls.

This reference covers the fields, statuses, filters, and controls available in the Clinical Review section of the Medical Record Summarization application.

Note:

Users only see the reviews assigned to them by the template owner. If the template owner doesn't assign anyone, anyone in the MRSReviewer local group in the Automation Cloud organization can see the review.

Stats panel metrics

Location: Clinical review → top of the list page, above the summary table.

The Clinical Review page displays three aggregate metrics at the top of the page. All metrics are scoped to the selected date range using the All time filter in the top-right corner.

MetricDescription
Ready for reviewNumber of summaries waiting to be opened by a reviewer
ReviewedNumber of summaries that reached a completion status
Total summariesTotal number of summaries across all statuses

Review list columns

Location: Clinical review → summary table.

ColumnDescription
SummaryThe filename of the source document
Review statusThe current status of the review (see Review statuses below)
TemplateThe template name and version used to generate the summary
ReviewerThe assigned reviewer; displays Unassigned if no reviewer has been assigned. Supports inline reassignment, including to yourself.
Date createdThe date the summary was generated

Review statuses

Location: Clinical reviewReview status column in the summary table, and the Status field in the review detail view header.

StatusDescription
Ready for reviewThe summary has been generated and is waiting to be opened. No reviewer has started reviewing it.
Review startedA reviewer has been assigned and the record is open for editing by that reviewer only. Other users can view it but cannot edit it or complete the review.
Completion statusesThe statuses defined by the review workflow assigned to the template. Templates with no assigned workflow use the built-in Default review workflow, which provides Approved and Rejected.

For how completion statuses are defined and assigned, see Manage review workflows.

Once a summary reaches a completion status, the original AI-generated summary and any reviewer overrides are available in Data Fabric via the MRS2_Output entity. For details on the available output fields, refer to MRS output data.

Filters

Location: Clinical review → filter bar above the summary table.

FilterDescription
SearchFree-text search across summary filenames
TemplateFilter by template name; defaults to All
StatusMulti-select filter for review status; defaults to Ready for review and Review started
ReviewerFilter by assigned reviewer; defaults to All
All timeDate range filter for the stats panel and list

Review detail view - header fields

Location: Clinical review → select a summary row → header bar at the top of the review detail view.

FieldDescription
Summary filenameThe name of the source document being reviewed
TemplateThe template name and version used to generate this summary
StatusThe current review status
Date createdThe date the summary was generated
ReviewerThe reviewer assigned to this record; can be reassigned inline using the dropdown

Review detail view - actions

Location: Clinical review → select a summary row → header bar (Complete review) and individual section headers (Override, Decision feedback).

ActionDescription
Complete reviewOpens a dialog where you select a completion status from the template's review workflow and optionally add notes. Completing a review is final.
OverridePer-section action on Summary and Q+A sections. Puts the section into edit mode, where the content becomes directly editable and an override form appears (see Override form fields below).
Accept / RejectPer-section action on Policy sections, in the Decision feedback card. Records a verdict on the outcome the policy produced, separately from the overall review.

Complete review dialog fields

FieldRequiredDescription
Completed statusYesThe completion status the review ends in. Options come from the review workflow assigned to the template.
NotesNoFree-text review notes carried into downstream processing.

Review detail view - right panel

Location: Clinical review → select a summary row → right panel.

Each source document available for the record gets its own tab, labeled with the document it holds. Tabs show the current page, the total page count, a search box, zoom controls, and a download control.

TabDescription
Patient recordThe source medical record the summary was generated from.
Policy documentPresent when the summary contains a Policy section. Displays the policy document the decision model was built from, so a rule can be checked against its source wording.
External summaryDisplays content from an externally configured system at the URL set in Admin → Experimental. Available only when the Embed external summary feature is enabled.

Policy section elements

Location: Clinical review → select a summary row → a section whose output type is Policy.

A Policy section reports the outcome the policy's decision model reached instead of a narrative. Below the section name, the panel names the policy and the decision model version it ran against.

ElementDescription
OutcomeThe outcome the decision model selected, shown as a headline
Total scoreScored profiles only. The points the record accumulated.
ConfidenceThe AI's confidence in the evaluation, for example Low
RationaleA written explanation of how the record reached that outcome
Decision feedbackCard holding the Accept and Reject verdict actions for the outcome

Scoring rules tree

Location: Policy section → Scoring rules.

The decision model's tree shows how each part of the policy was judged. Each rule group displays the following.

ElementDescription
Met indicatorIcon showing whether the group was met or not met
Condition countThe number of conditions the group contains
ConfidenceThe confidence percentage for that group, where one was determined
PointsThe points the group contributed, for example +8
Evaluation qualifierAll are required, Any 1 is required, or First match
Why this rule was not metPlain-language explanation, shown when an unmet group is expanded
View in policyOpens the supporting passage in the policy document panel

Beneath the tree, a summary line reports how many conditions were not met and how many were not applicable.

Override form fields

Location: Clinical review → select a summary row → select Override on any section → inline form appearing directly below that section's content.

Selecting Override on a section puts it into edit mode: the section content becomes directly editable, and an inline form appears below the content.

FieldRequiredDescription
Reason for overrideYesDropdown. Captures why the section content was inaccurate or insufficient. See Reason options below.
Feedback for the agentNoFree-text field. Additional context sent to the AI analysis system to inform future template recommendations.
Share feedback data with UiPath to help troubleshoot and improve the productNoCheckbox, cleared by default. Whether it was selected is recorded against the override in the template's Overrides tab.

Override reason options

ReasonUse when
Incorrect informationThe AI generated a factually wrong value or statement
Missing informationRelevant information from the source document was not included
Outdated informationThe AI used information superseded by more recent content in the record
Formatting/clarityThe content is accurate but poorly structured or difficult to read
Incorrect attributionA finding is cited to the wrong source page or passage
Safety concernThe section contains content that could affect clinical decision-making adversely
OtherThe issue does not fit the categories above

After editing the content and completing the form, select Save to record the override (including any text edits), or Cancel to discard it. A saved override is summarized beneath the section, showing the reviewer, the reason, and any feedback, with controls to edit or remove it. Multiple sections can be overridden before the review is completed.

Citation behavior

Location: Clinical review → select a summary row → left panel (summary content).

Inline citation markers appear next to data points in the AI-generated summary. In normal view, each marker shows a plain page number (for example, [3]); selecting it navigates the PDF viewer to that page. When Override edit mode is active for a section, the marker format changes to [p. PAGE|N], where PAGE is the source document page and N is the occurrence on that page. Citation markers are not clickable while Override edit mode is active.

Reviewer assignment banner

Location: Clinical review → select a summary row assigned to another reviewer → banner at the top of the review detail view.

When a summary is assigned to another reviewer, the following banner appears at the top of the review detail view:

This record is being reviewed by [Reviewer Name]. You can view but not edit this record. Update the reviewer above to reassign editing access.

In this state, the Complete review, Override, and Decision feedback actions are unavailable. Reassigning the record to yourself from the Reviewer dropdown transfers editing access. The banner can be dismissed without changing the assignment.

Any overrides recorded by prior reviewers are preserved. They appear in the template's Overrides tab and are included the next time the template's feedback is analyzed for recommended improvements. A review remains active until it is completed. Once a completion status is reached, the review can no longer be edited.

Template version banner

Location: Clinical review → select a summary generated by a template version that is no longer current → banner at the top of the review detail view.

When a newer version of the template has been published since the summary was generated, the following banner appears:

A newer version of this template has been published. This summary was generated using an older version of the template. Future records will use the updated version automatically.

The summary itself is not regenerated. The banner can be dismissed.
